The 25-meter semi-Olympic pool, one of the largest in north Kerala, was opened in 2017 by former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. Our school is the first in north Kerala where swimming is made compulsory for 1st to 10th students. We have appointed NIS coach Anil Francis to oversee aquatic training and other programmes. Besides our students, the pool is open to public also. Special coaching sessions are given to youngsters who participate in competitive examinations especially in armed forces, police and paramilitary. In last five years many district and state level competitions were held here. Besides students and youngsters the state aquatic association provides training sessions for master swimmers here regularly. There are 30 separate shower rooms and lockers for men and women. The pool managers take utmost caution during training and cleaning sessions. Our students have brought many laurels in swimming championships. Besides the school, pool benefitted the entire locality.
